Nissan Shwii

Waze, the crowd-sourced navigation app helps users avoid potholes, traffic and even the police. It uses 98 different languages but we still can’t do it in our mother tongue, Zulu. Zulu is our most widely-spoken home language yet Waze uses English (5th most spoken) and Afrikaans (3rd most spoken) as the only local language options.
So we created Shwii by Nissan, the first voice assist on the Waze platform using Zulu onomatopoeia voice commands so you can hear the danger in the word.
This removed the need for translation, keeping Zulu drivers safe on our roads.
